Local involvement

Plans are not made from behind a desk in an office far off, but from within a community. This is the method used by FREE Nature. A management plan or vision is meant for sustainable development. In its centre sits the involvement from the local people. For us it is therefore only logical to involve them in developing a plan. For this purpose we organize information and consultation events or work with a focus group form the population. With them, we outline and sketch our plans, our vision for the future.

This does not mean that we only write down what we are told. Laws and regulations, such as Nature 2000, supply both constraints and opportunities. And when our client want to go in a different direction then the locals, it helps to explain each other’s points of view to create greater understanding and trust. Through this process we learn from each other and help to benefit all.
